Part of the Burton building I (1936) (divided)

This building was erected for the menswear firm Burton in 1936 on land left over after the Vine Hotel was demolished for road-widening. It was probably designed by in-house architect Harry Wilson, as it closely resembles his other work. Its foundation stone was laid by Stanley Howard Burton, son of Burton's founder.
