Part of the Oracle Centre Phase&nsp;III

stage III of the Oracle Shopping Centre involved creating an entrance onto Broad Street. For this, Nos. 124-125 were obliterated and Nos. 126-131 almost so, with only the latters' 1928 façade retained. stage III was completed in 2000.

The Oracle (shopping arcade or mall)

The Oracle is an indoor shopping & leisure mall mostly occupying the former sites of Simonds Brewery and a Reading Buses depot, beside the River Kennet. It was built in three stages in 1999 and 2000. It was a joint venture between Hammerson and ADIA until 2025, when Hammerson bought out its partner's share..

2025 - Hammerson bought out the share of its partner, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), giving the British property development and investment company full ownership of the Oracle for the first time.

Ben's Cookies is a chain of cookie shops founded in Oxford in 1984 by Helge Rubinstein. The company is named for her son and it slogo was drawn by illustrator Quentin Blake, who was a friend of the family.
