Part of the Oracle Centre Phase&nsp;III

stage III of the Oracle Shopping Centre involved creating an entrance onto Broad Street. For this, Nos. 124-125 were obliterated and Nos. 126-131 almost so, with only the latters' 1928 façade retained. stage III was completed in 2000.

The Oracle is an indoor shopping & leisure mall mostly occupying the former sites of Simonds Brewery and a Reading Buses depot, beside the River Kennet. It was built in three stages in 1999 and 2000. Ben's Cookies is a chain of cookie shops founded in Oxford in 1984 by Helge Rubinstein. The company is named for her son and it slogo was drawn by illustrator Quentin Blake, who was a friend of the family.
