Nos. 90-93, Broad Street

Designed by architect Simon Hudspith, this building was purpose-built to replace the 1936 Boots Building with a number of individual shops. This was originally intended to be six, although that was then reduced to three and, by the time of completion in 2003, had become two shops of different sizes.

USC (clothing retailer - mens & ladies' wear)

USC - originally standing for United Sports Corporation - is a branded clothing retailer. It was established in Edinburgh in 1989 by Alfred Brown. As a sportswear retailer but later moved into fashion. It was acquired by Sir Tom Hunter in 2008, who sold it on to Sports Direct in 2011.

2003 - The branded clothing retailer USC moved into the main part of the new 90-93 Broad Street retail structure. This roughly corresponded to the old Nos. 91-93.
