Former Oatsheaf pub building (1932)

This building was constructed as a 1932 rebuilding of the Oatsheaf public house. This was part of a larger redevelopment plan by the brewery H&G Simonds, which then owned the freehold on Nos .40-46. It was designed by local architect FG Sainsbury.

Santander UK (bank)

Santander UK is a bank owned by Spain's Banco Santander. It was created in 2010 from the former Abbey National, Bradford & Bingley and Alliance & Leicester banks.

2010 - The Alliance & Leicester was absorbed into Santander UK. This gave the bank two branches on Broad Street, as it also had the former Abbey National at Nos. 100-101.
