Based on photo evidence, this building appears to have been erected circa 1964, at which time it was a Barratts shoe shop as had been its predecessor.

Barratts was a footwear chain founded as W Barratt Boot & Shoe Co in 1903. It became Stylo plc in 1964 and Barratts Priceless in 2009 but went under in 2013.
