Building:
Queen Victoria St development (east side)

Built in 1903 as part of the creation of Queen Victoria Street (which directly linked Broad Street to Station Road), this building was possibly designed by Joseph Morris. It was Grade II listed in 1978 along with the rest of the Queen Victoria Street development.

HSBC (bank)

The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) was founded in Hong Kong in 1865. In 1992, it acquired the UK's Midland Bank (est. 1836). Initially, this continued to operate under the Midland name but was re-branded to HSBC in 1997 as the parent group harmonised its global identity.
